The Eye Care Institute opened a new research facility on its Butchertown campus.
Butchertown Clinical Trials, a division of the Eye Care Institute, announced Friday that the $1.8 million stand-alone clinical trials facility opened at 205 N. Spring Street.
It will house eight ongoing clinical trials, according to a news release. Louisville Business First reported in January 2020 that the Eye Care Institute would undertake the project, which saw an old storage warehouse close to the institute’s medical and surgical building at 1536 Story Ave. undergo an expansion and renovation.
